Jennifer Cox (She/Her) -
Registered Associate MFT #160137
I’m Jennifer Cox, AMFT, and I love supporting people who are outwardly functioning while feeling overwhelmed, numb, or untethered beneath the surface — especially during periods when life no longer fits the story they expected.
My work is shaped by a long-term meditation practice and an interest in the places where anxiety, depression, and questions of identity intersect. My trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and existential approach invites careful attention to inner experience and to the deeper questions of meaning that can emerge during times of transition.
My style is collaborative, steady, and attuned to what can be difficult to articulate. I offer a calm, thoughtful space to explore your experience without pressure to fix, perform, or simplify what’s complex.

I look forward to working with you!

With over 12 years of experience across corporate leadership, nonprofit advocacy, and clinical psychology, I’m proud to have founded the Young Black Professionals of Orange County and have built strategic alliances across Southern California to advance equity and access.
I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology and am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT & APCC), as well as a Wellness Life Coach. I specialize in treatment planning, interventions, and psychoeducation for diverse populations. My work also extends into public health, where I’ve led teams, managed outreach initiatives, and helped shape policy to improve community well-being.
I’m certified by the Zero Suicide Institute and trained in trauma-informed care and cognitive behavioral therapy. I bring authentic leadership and a deep commitment to positive transformation to every space I enter. As a proud Howard University alum, my lifelong mission is to create lasting change in marginalized communities and foster well-being and abundance for individuals and families alike.

With so much happening around us and within, it can often feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. When you feel stuck, overwhelmed or confused, your mind and body may adapt ways of telling you there’s a need to re-evaluate. What current path are you on, and what new path do you want to be on?
There is no one-size-fits-all in therapy, so I use a variety of trauma-informed techniques - including cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, somatic therapy, and mindfulness - that offer you options, insight and agency over your own therapeutic journey. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and other minoritized communities. It is my priority and privilege to ensure a protected environment where true, authentic work can be done with a peace of mind and abundance of support.
If you are ready to take the next step, I am available via my website at TasiaKristich.com or reach out directly via Hello@TasiaKristich.com. I look forward to working with you!

As someone who has always had a passion for helping others, becoming a therapist has allowed me to help the communities that matter most to me.
In therapy, I aim to create a safe space, where you feel comfortable exploring yourself. With nearly 300+ hours working with the LGBTQAI+ community, I have experience exploring gender identity, gender dysphoria, and the “coming out” process. Additionally, I have experience working with depression, anxiety and building positive coping skills.
With an educational background in Somatic Psychotherapy/body-based therapy, I am able to incorporate body-based techniques into therapy. My approach towards therapy includes person-centered, Gestalt therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Somatic Psychotherapy. I believe that our healing journey involves not only our mind but also our body.
